The Problem
The idea was profound before it had a name. A doll handcrafted by persons with disabilities, made from recycled clothing, Sharia-compliant, and designed to reflect the values and aesthetics of a humble Muslim family, Pakistan's first truly inclusive doll. But an idea this meaningful needed a brand identity as thoughtful as its purpose. Without a name, a visual identity, and a communication framework that captured the soul of what IAM was building, the product risked being seen as just another social enterprise rather than the cultural milestone it was.
Strategy & Flow
This was one of the most personal projects Madvertising has worked on. A cause this close to the heart demanded a strategy built on conviction, not just craft.
01
Brand Naming
We developed the name IAM, Inclusive Artisans Marketplace, a name that put the artisan at the centre, not the product. Three letters that carried identity, agency, and belonging simultaneously.
02
Brand Identity And Packaging
We built the initial visual identity and packaging communication around the two founding truths of the brand, Islamic values and inclusive empowerment. Every design decision was made to reflect the warmth, humility.
03
Social Media Communication
We developed the initial social media communication framework, giving IAM a voice that was warm, purposeful, and deeply human. Content that told the artisan's story as much as the product's story.
The Result
IAM launched to an overwhelmingly positive reception within its community celebrated not just as a product but as a cultural statement. The brand identity was widely appreciated for the strength and clarity of its purpose, a rare thing in a market where social impact brands often struggle to communicate their values without feeling preachy or corporate.
